  • Develop, harmonize and support a good workflow between the level art and level design teams to maximize collaboration and efficiency
  • Rapid prototyping of tools that allow a quick testing of the feasibility of features and ideas

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Level Design position or a Senior Level Designer position
  • Unreal Engine 4 development experience
  • Ability to identify and solve technical issues for tool development
  • Strong knowledge of content pipeline and toolsets for level design and game production in general
  • Demonstrated skills in the general concepts of programming and scripting and asset creation hierarchy
  • Asset Optimization skills and a skill for debugging and finding leak and performance issues
  • Ability to change and adapt workflows according to the project’s need
  • Positive attitude, problem solver, ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
  • Ability to self manage and impose priorities among many potential requests, with the help of team lead

Responsibilities

  • Creation of User interfaces, interpreting interaction wireframes including the development and implementation of UI art assets from design concepts through final production

  • Collaborate with the core team to brainstorm, articulate, and present Creative-art-design functional support, as directed, to other functions of the business in a timely and professional manner

  • Lead from a place of mentorship, teaching, and career progression
  • Work with the technical director and studio leadership developing code for global development projects involving infrastructure for online gaming architecture for multiple platforms/games/consoles
  • Work with architects to implement design recommendations and solutions for existing architecture to improve performance, security and reliability
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the middleware, SDKs, internal libraries, and everything in between
  • Interface between Client partners and TLM Partners
  • Interface with other departments providing development, documentation, influence strategy and overall direction 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 5+ years of application development experience
  • Unreal 4 development experience
  • Strong C/C++ skills
  • Well-versed in PC and Console game development techniques and best practices
  • Great with lateral thinking and motivation to work independently and on a team as well as the ability to work directly with teams across multiple territories and time zones
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation from the beginning of a project through completion
  • Dedication, teamwork and professionalism
  • Great interpersonal skills
