Centers of Excellence
Fostering the Next Generation of Game Developers
Centers of Excellence (CoE) is TLM’s initiative to foster and mentor the next generation of game developers. Working with schools, professors and students we offer internships, Game Jam participation, mentoring and support for your program.
What is the Centers of Excellence (CoE)
We currently have a CoE Mexico established with the Tecnológico de Monterrey and are in our 3rd term of internships with their students. Although we’ve been focused on art and design in the initial terms, we hope to expand opportunities for Engineering, Production, and Project Management to mentor students in modules relevant to those disciplines.

From our Monster Interns
Working as an intern at TLM gave me a lot of experience and once I graduated, I was given a job position. I believe that the most amazing aspect about TLM is the overall inclusion and acceptance, not only when it comes to people but also ideas and suggestions. No matter if you’re a full time employee or an intern, everyone is valued and equally important. Working as an intern and now as an employee at TLM, there is a strong sense that more than a company we build a community.
My experience at TLM was very rich both personally and professionally. Through the projects that I participated, their team of mentors provided to me numerous tools to improve the quality of my submissions as well as my professional image when presenting them. They always answered my questions not only related to the projects, but also clarified any doubts I had of the video game industry. I highly recommend participating in this program for you can always expect to continuously learn from experienced professionals while being a part of a fun and interesting adventure.
Being in the CoE Program at TLM has been very beneficial for my professional development. Each project I’ve been assigned to has come with its various set of challenges and problems I wouldn’t have experienced in college, and all have been extremely rewarding. The communication and guidance the mentors offer is fantastic, and they also give great insight into the industry.
During my internship I always felt welcome. All of my mentors were friendly and professional. Despite them having so many things to do, they always answered every question I had. The projects were challenging but at the same time fun and within my areas of interest. If I could turn back time, I would do my internship there again.
For me, TLM has been a good opportunity to work with a lot of talented and creative people with experience in the Videogame industry. From the very first day that I joined the company, I was welcomed by all members of the team. That made me feel confident and an important asset to the team.
